Ingredients

  • 1 Pound 85/15 Ground Beef
  • 1 ¼ Teaspoons Kosher Salt Divided
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 ½ Cups Frozen Chopped Onions
  • ¾ Cup Frozen Chopped Green Bell Peppers
  • 1 Cup Frozen Sliced White Mushrooms
  • 2 Cubes Frozen Crushed Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Cup Beef Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 8 Ounces Provolone Cheese Chopped Small
  • 8 Hamburger Buns

Instructions

  • Heat A Large Skillet Over High Heat.
  • When Hot, Spray With Nonstick Spray, Then Add Beef, ½ Teaspoon Salt, And Black Pepper.
  • Cook Until Meat Is No Longer Pink And Any Moisture Has Evaporated, About 7 Minutes.
  • Transfer Meat To A Bowl, Leaving Any Grease In The Skillet.
  • Return Skillet To High Heat And Add Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Garlic, And ¼ Teaspoon Salt.
  • Sauté Until Vegetables Soften, About 3–4 Minutes.
  • Return Beef To Skillet, Along With Ketchup, Worcestershire Sauce, And Remaining ½ Teaspoon Salt.
  • Stir.
  • Combine Broth With Cornstarch And Add To The Skillet.
  • Cook Until Sauce Thickens, About 2 Minutes, Then Reduce Heat To Medium.
  • Add Provolone And Stir To Allow The Cheese To Completely Melt.
  • Serve On Hamburger Buns.
