Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh raspberries washed
  • 3 oz. Fontina cheese
  • 2 slices Hawaiian sweet bread
  • Butter or butter spread

Instructions

  • Butter one side of each slice of Hawaiian sweet bread.
  • Place half of the Fontina cheese on the non-buttered side of one slice of bread.
  • Carefully pile the fresh raspberries on top of the cheese.
  • Add the remaining Fontina cheese over the raspberries, then place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
  • Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Cook the sandwich for about 4 ½ minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese is melted, adjusting the cooking time as needed to ensure the Fontina cheese is gooey.
  • Use a melting dome if available to help melt the cheese evenly.
  • Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet and serve hot.
