Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 can 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 quart water
  • 4 onions chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 red peppers ground peppers can be used
  • 5-6 bay leaves
  • 3-5 whole allspice

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine the ground beef, minced garlic or garlic powder, tomato sauce, ground cinnamon, Worcestershire sauce, water, chopped onions, vinegar, chili powder, cayenne powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the red peppers, bay leaves, and whole allspice to the pot.
  • Cook the chili on simmer for about 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
