Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 chicken pieces bone-in
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a paper sack or large resealable plastic bag, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Shake the bag until the ingredients are well mixed.
  • Place two pieces of chicken into the bag at a time, shaking until each piece is evenly coated with the flour mixture.
  • Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange the coated chicken pieces in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, turning the chicken several times during cooking to ensure even browning.
  • Once cooked through and golden brown, remove the chicken from the oven.
