Ingredients
- 4 large apples such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter melted
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
- 1/4 cup apple juice or cider
Instructions
- Core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact.
- In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins/cranberries.
- Stuff each apple with the oat mixture.
- Pour the apple juice or cider into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place the stuffed apples in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours, or until the apples are tender.
- Serve warm.
