A classic, juicy meatloaf recipe that brings comfort to any meal. Simple ingredients, big flavor.
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- 9×5 inch loaf pan
- Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or gluten-free/low-carb alternative
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup ketchup divided
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 lbs ground beef
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine milk and breadcrumbs.
- Add egg, 1/4 cup ketchup, onion, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well.
- Add ground beef and mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- Shape mixture into a loaf and place in a loaf pan.
- Spread remaining 1/4 cup ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
