Ingredients
- 10 medium flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 4 chicken breast fillets cut into 1/4 inch wide strips
- 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Fillings (Choose as Desired):
- Shredded cheese
- Chopped tomatoes
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced pitted ripe olives
- Taco sauce
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat.
- Quickly cook the chicken breast strips and chopped onion in the melted fat until the chicken is cooked through and the onion is tender.
- Add the tomato sauce, garlic salt, salt, and ground cumin to the skillet.
- Reduce the heat and simmer the mixture, covered, for 15-20 minutes.
- To serve, place a portion of the hot meat mixture on each heated tortilla.
- Top with desired fillings such as shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced pitted ripe olives, and taco sauce.
- Roll up the tortillas burrito-style and serve.
