Notes & Wine Advice

Recipe Notes

Cook the potatoes until they are completely tender. They should break apart easily when pierced with a fork, which helps create a smoother mash.
Add the plant-based milk gradually rather than all at once. This makes it easier to control the consistency and prevents the mashed potatoes from becoming too thin.
Rice milk gives the potatoes a mild flavor, while soy milk produces a slightly richer and creamier result. Always use an unsweetened variety.
If you need the dish to remain gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce or Bragg Liquid Aminos.

Wine Advice

A Chardonnay pairs nicely with the creamy potatoes, garlic, and fresh chives. Its rounded character complements the soft texture while providing enough freshness to balance this comforting side dish.
