Ingredients

  • 35 oz 1 kg Grapes
  • 1 cup 250 ml White wine, preferably Trammer
  • cup 150 g Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp plus 1 tsp 50 g Honey
  • 3 tbsp 4 cl Grappa

Instructions

  • Boil white wine with sugar and honey.
  • Add the washed grapes, remove from heat, and let set.
  • Flavor with grappa.

Wine in Dessert

Everyone who has ever had a glass of sweet Austrian wine such as an Ausbruch or Trockenbeerenauslese knows that wine can be a dessert. (These wines, by the way, make very good gelatin.) The wine grape Vitis vinifera has a particularly tasty spot not only in Austrian strudel, tortes, schnitten, and crèmes, but also in the form of table grapes, such as the Regina, Italia, Irsai Olivér, Isabella, Muscat, Romulus, or Venus.
