  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 can 12 oz beans, drained (pinto or kidney)
  • 8 ounces cooked pork diced
  • 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 green bell pepper seeded and diced
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the beef bouillon cube with the reserved liquid from the canned beans and enough water to make 1 cup of broth.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the broth mixture and all remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes or until it reaches the desired consistency.
