- 1/2 cup Jack Daniel’s whiskey or other bourbon
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Whisk until well combined.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until sauce has thickened slightly.
- Stir occasionally.
- Season with salt to taste.
