Ingredients

For the Pizza Base:

  • 1 gluten-free pizza crust or traditional if preferred
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Toppings:

  • 4 cloves garlic roasted and mashed
  • 2 bell peppers red, yellow, or orange, sliced
  • 150 g tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves chopped (for garnish)

Optional:

  • Vegan mozzarella cheese or regular mozzarella

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  • Roll out the pizza dough and place it on a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil over the pizza base and spread evenly.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the base.
  • Evenly distribute the roasted garlic and bell pepper slices on top of the pizza.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the toppings and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked.
  • If using mozzarella, add it in the last 5 minutes of baking to melt over the top.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
