  • 2/3 cup onion chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 can 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 can 10 3/4 oz beef broth
  • 1 can 15 oz chili beans
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed oregano
  • Dash of cumin
  • Dash of crushed red pepper
  • 2 to 4 drops hot pepper sauce

Instructions

  • In a large pot, brown ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, beef broth, chili beans, chili powder, celery salt, crushed oregano, cumin, crushed red pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
  • Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors meld together.
