Equipment

  • Crockpot
  • Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 4 potatoes – cubed
  • ½ cup onion – chopped
  • 1 celery rib – chopped
  • 1 carrot – chopped
  • 14 oz can chicken broth
  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese – shredded
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Brown sausage and onion in sauce pan
  • Drain excess juice

Add to crockpot in the following order:

  • Potatoes
  • Celery
  • Carrot
  • Sausage and onion mixture
  • Chicken broth
  • Cook on low 4-5 hours
  • Add evaporated milk and cheddar cheese 5 minutes before serving

Notes & Wine Advice

Serves 4-5 | Total time: 5 hrs 15 mins

Variation

Before adding milk, mix chicken broth with can of cheddar cheese soup and add cornstarch. Before serving, stir in big handful of cheese.
