Spicy Pop’s Barbecue Sauce
Makes: 3½ cups

Ingredients
- 6 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup tomato puree
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 7 oz chipotle peppers in adobo sauce chopped into smaller piece
- 1 teaspoon each of soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup of brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon each of paprika onion powder, ground pepper, kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon red hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- 1 teaspoon sweet mustard
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a saucepan.
- Add garlic and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add all ingredients and stir well.
- Bring mixture to a boil and simmer in reduced heat for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Place sauce in a blender and blend until smooth.
