Sweet and Spicy Raspberry Chipotle Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups finely diced yellow onions
- 1 green bell pepper diced finely
- 2 stalks celery diced finely
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 bottled ketchup
- ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- ¼ cup Raspberry Chipotle Tabasco sauce
- ½ cup pureed fresh raspberries
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper and celery, then, sauté for 6 minutes.
- Add chipotle peppers and garlic and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and water.
- Bring it to a boil and simmer in low heat for five minutes.
- Add vinegar, Raspberry Chipotle Tabasco sauce, and raspberries.
- Continue to simmer on low for half an hour, stirring frequently.
