Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Instructions

  • Remove tips from the chicken wings; cut wings into 2 pieces, and place them in a shallow dish.
  • In a bowl, combine lemon juice, soy sauce, and onion powder.
  • Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  • Cover and marinate the wings in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
  • Drain the chicken wings, reserving 1 tablespoon of the marinade.
  • Place the wings on a foil-lined broiler pan.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the reserved marinade, honey, and ketchup, stirring well.
  • Brush half of the mixture on the chicken wings.
  • Broil the wings 6 to 7 inches from the broiler for 7 minutes.
  • Turn the wings and brush them with the remaining sauce.
  • Broil for an additional 7 minutes.
