  • 1 pound 455 g whole fresh strawberries

Instructions

  • Boil for 3 minutes to ensure the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Remove from the heat and let cool for about 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C, or gas mark 4).
  • Line the bottom of an 8-inch (20-cm) square baking dish with a single layer of whole strawberries.
  • Pour the balsamic syrup evenly over the strawberries.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
  • Let cool before serving.
