Maple, Bacon And Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

Makes 3 cups, to frost 12 cupcakes

  • 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar sifted
  • ¼ cup chopped toasted pecans
  • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon about 3 slices

Instructions

  • In an electric mixer beat the cream cheese and butter on medium speed until smooth and evenly combined.
  • Add the maple syrup.
  • With mixer on low, gradually add the powdered sugar until the frosting is thick and spreadable.
  • Fold in the toasted pecans and bacon bits.
