Bratwursts, Onions and Sauerkraut
If you would like to sub out the beef broth for beer when boiling the bratwurst, there are many low-carb beers available on the market. Just be sure to read labels, and enjoy a brew while the air fryer does its job!

Ingredients
- 450 grams uncooked pork bratwurst each piece pierced with a fork twice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
- ½ medium brown onion peeled and sliced into half-moons
- 2 cups drained sauerkraut
- 1 ½ tablespoons German mustard
Instructions
- Add bratwurst, beef broth, water and onion to a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer 15 minutes.
- Drain.
- Preheat air fryer at 200°C for 3 minutes.
- Place bratwursts and onion in ungreased air fryer basket.
- Cook for 3 minutes.
- Flip bratwursts, add sauerkraut and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Using a meat thermometer, ensure internal temperature is at least 75°C.
- Transfer bratwursts, onion and sauerkraut to a large serving plate and serve warm with mustard on the side.
