Ingredients
- 7 cups peeled and chopped mangoes
- 1 cup orange juice
- ¾ cup water
- 2½ cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
Instructions
- Combine mangoes, orange juice, and water in a medium saucepan.
- Simmer for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mangoes are very tender.
- Puree mango mixture in food mill or food processor.
- Return mango mixture to medium pan and add sugar and juice.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for approximately 35 minutes, or until thickened.
- Ladle into clean jars and process for 10 minutes in boiling-water bath.
