Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 325 ml warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 7 g active dry yeast

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water, then sprinkle yeast over the top.
  • Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  • Add olive oil and salt to the yeast mixture, then slowly incorporate flour, stirring until the dough begins to come together.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1-1.
  • 5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and grease a baking sheet.
  • Punch down the dough and roll it out to fit the baking sheet.
  • Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Bake the dough in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  • Add your desired toppings and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese melts and bubbles.
