Air fryer banana bread combines cocoa, ripe bananas, walnuts, and white chocolate in a rich small-batch loaf. It is suitable for breakfast, brunch, or a warm dessert served with ice cream.
Whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, kosher salt, and baking soda in a mixing bowl.
Mash the bananas in a separate mixing bowl until completely smooth.
Add the sugar, vegetable oil, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and egg to the bananas.
Whisk the wet ingredients until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
Whisk gently until just combined.
Toss the walnuts and white chocolate with the remaining 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour.
Fold the coated walnuts and white chocolate into the batter.
Lightly grease a 7-inch round baking dish that fits inside the air fryer.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish.
Smooth the surface with a silicone spatula.
Preheat the air fryer to 310°F (155°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the baking dish in the air fryer basket.
Air fry at 310°F (155°C) for approximately 30 minutes.
Insert a toothpick into the center to check that it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack.
Allow the banana bread to cool in the dish for 10 minutes.
Remove the bread carefully from the dish.
Cool completely on the wire rack before cutting it into 4 wedges.

Serving Suggestions
Serve this banana bread at room temperature for breakfast or warm it briefly and add vanilla ice cream for dessert. It pairs well with our Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits as part of a larger brunch. Browse our Breakfast Recipes for more ideas.
Recipe Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the strongest flavor and softest texture. Coating the walnuts and white chocolate with flour helps prevent them from sinking. Do not overmix the batter. Check the bread a few minutes early because air-fryer models vary.
Variations
Replace walnuts with pecans, hazelnuts, or additional white chocolate. Dark or milk chocolate can replace the white chocolate. Add cinnamon, espresso powder, or orange zest for a different flavor. Browse our Air Fryer Recipes for more small-batch baking ideas.
Wine Advice
A lightly sparkling Moscato d’Asti complements the banana and white chocolate. A sweet Banyuls is a richer option when serving the bread as dessert.
