or ⅓ cup sour cream

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
Add the eggs and vanilla and beat well.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the butter mixture; blend well after each addition.
Stir in the apples and walnuts.
Pour the batter in a greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes or until done.
