Apple Cake from Clint Eastwood

Blend butter and sugar.

Add eggs and lemon drops.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

add to butter and egg mix.

As flour gets firmer add milk, a little at a time.

Dough should be heavy.

Spread in a round 10- inch greased pan.

Peel, quarter and core apples.

Cut into rounded side of each apple quarter, making several lengthwise parallel deep incisions so that each quarter fans, as shown in picture.

Place prepared apple quarters, sliced- side up, on top of dough.

Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
