Instructions
Thinly slice the flank steak across the grain.
Whisk together hoisin sauce, lime juice, honey, garlic, salt, ginger, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a bowl.
Pour the marinade into a resealable bag.
Add the sliced steak and coat evenly.
Refrigerate for 2 to 12 hours.
Preheat the barbecue grill to medium-high heat.
Thread the beef slices onto skewers.
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling if needed.
Discard any remaining marinade.
Grill the skewers for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Cook longer if you prefer well-done beef.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
