Arrange the scones in the air fryer basket.
Brush the tops with milk.
Air fry for 14 to 18 minutes, until risen and golden.
Allow to cool slightly before serving with jam and whipped cream.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes & Wine Advice
Serving Suggestions
Serve the scones slightly warm with jam and whipped cream. Split them just before serving so the centres remain soft and fresh.
Recipe Notes
Keep the butter chilled and handle the dough as little as possible. Overworking the dough can make the finished scones firmer and less fluffy.
Cooking Advice
Pat the dough to approximately 4 to 5 cm thick and press the cutter straight down without twisting. This helps the scones rise more evenly during air frying.
Storage Advice
Store cooled scones in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Warm them briefly in the Airfryer before serving.
Wine Advice
Wine is not essential with these scones. Tea or coffee is a more natural accompaniment, particularly when they are served with jam and cream.
