Serving Suggestions
Serve these Cajun potato wedges hot as a side dish with grilled chicken, burgers, steak, fish, or roasted vegetables. They are also excellent as a snack with garlic mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, or a cooling yogurt dip.
Recipe Notes
Cut the fingerling potatoes into wedges of similar thickness so they cook evenly. Leaving the skins on gives the wedges additional texture and eliminates unnecessary preparation.Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. The hot air needs enough room to circulate around the potatoes to produce golden edges. If your air fryer has a smaller basket, cook the wedges in two batches.
Variations
For additional heat, increase the chilli powder or add a pinch of cayenne pepper. Smoked paprika can replace the hot paprika for a deeper smoky flavour. Garlic powder or onion powder can also be added to the seasoning mixture.
Storage and Reheating
Store leftover potato wedges in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) until thoroughly hot and crisp. Avoid reheating them for too long, as the potatoes can become dry.
Wine Advice
A fruity Riesling provides a refreshing contrast to the chilli, paprika, and aromatic spices. A fresh Sauvignon Blanc is another suitable choice, particularly when the wedges are served alongside grilled vegetables or chicken.
