Instructions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 30 seconds.
Add sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
Continue to beat until well combined, scraping the bowl as needed.
Beat in the egg yolks and vanilla extract until combined.
