Variations
For homemade bagel seasoning, combine 2 tablespoons toasted white sesame seeds, 1½ tablespoons toasted black sesame seeds, 1½ tablespoons dried onion flakes, 1 tablespoon dried garlic flakes, 1 tablespoon poppy seeds, and 1 tablespoon salt flakes. Store the mixture in an airtight jar. The seasoning can also be used with other recipes from Spices & Seasoning.
Storage and Reheating
Store leftover turnip fries in a covered container in the refrigerator. Reheat them for a few minutes in the Airfryer until hot and lightly crisp again. Avoid reheating them for too long because turnips can become soft as they release moisture.
Wine Advice
A fresh Sauvignon Blanc works well with the earthy turnip, sesame seeds, onion, and garlic in the bagel seasoning. Its acidity keeps this simple vegetable dish fresh and light. Explore suitable wines at René’s Wijnbeleving.
