Instructions
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a sharp knife.
Place the ribs into a large saucepan and cover with water.
Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 45 minutes until almost tender.
Combine the marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
Combine the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
Drain the ribs and coat them in the marinade.
Remove the ribs from the marinade and cover evenly with the dry rub.
Massage the seasoning into the ribs and spray lightly with oil.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
Arrange the ribs upright inside the air fryer basket.
Cook at 325°F for 20 minutes.
Brush the ribs with most of the barbecue sauce.
Cook for another 10 minutes until tender and glazed.
Combine the coleslaw mix, sliced apple, and dressing in a bowl.
Cut the ribs into portions and serve with the coleslaw and remaining barbecue sauce.
