1 link chorizo sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices

well-washed, and coarsely chopped Swiss chard

tiny new potatoes
whole if 1 1/2 inches or cut into 3/4-inch pieces

fresh or frozen baby fava beans or lima beans

Instructions
Prepare Broth
: In a soup pot, bring the water to a boil over high heat.
Add the beef, ham bone, chorizo, salt, and pepper.
Return to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 1/4 hours or until the broth is flavorful and cooked through.
Cook Vegetables:
Add the Swiss chard, potatoes, beans, and olive oil.
Cover and simmer for 45 minutes more or until the potatoes and beans are tender and the flavors are well blended.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Finish and Serve:
Discard the beef and bone, retaining the chorizo in the soup.
Serve hot.
