or 3 squares unsweetened baker’s chocolate

sugar
▢

milk or cream

corn syrup

of salt

butter
▢

vanilla
Instructions
Combine cocoa, sugar, milk, syrup, and salt in heavy saucepan.
Cook to soft ball stage (236°—when small amount of mixture dropped in cold water forms a soft ball).
Cool slightly and add butter and vanilla.
Immediately pour into buttered pan.
Allow to harden.
Cut into squares.
