Green Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ lbs green tomatoes coarsely chopped
  • 1 ½ lbs tomatillos husked and coarsely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1 ½ cups coarsely chopped sweet onion
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • ½ teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a stockpot and cook for 2 hours over medium-low heat 2 hours.
  • Place in a blender and blend until smooth.
