Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • dash salt
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 ½ cups buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon anise seed
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 cups flour

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • Take a small portion of dough and roll into a finger size.
  • Form into a pretzel shape and bake on cookie sheet.
  • Can be served warm with butter.

  • She didn't have an oven temp.
  • I would guess about 350º.
  • She would say bake until done.
