Instructions
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
Prepare the Ham:
Place the fresh ham in a roasting pan, and season it with salt and pepper.
Make the Glaze:
In a saucepan, combine orange juice, maple syrup, soy sauce, chopped walnuts, and minced garlic.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Glaze the Ham:
Brush a generous amount of the orange and walnut glaze over the fresh ham, ensuring it is well-coated.
Roast:
Roast the ham in the preheated oven, basting it with the glaze every 30 minutes.
Roast until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the ham is caramelized and golden brown, usually for about 2 to 2.5 hours.
Rest and Serve:
Allow the ham to rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
