Pasta Fazool
Ever wondered about the dish named in the classic song “That’s Amore”? Recreate it for your love in the slow cooker
Ingredients
- 1 package small shell pasta
- 2 cups cannellini beans
- 12 ounce can stewed tomatoes
- 3 cups beef broth
- ½ onion diced
- ½ cup carrots diced
- 2 tablespoons garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 cups fresh spinach
Instructions
- Combine the cannellini beans and tomatoes in a greased slow cooker insert.
- Add the broth, onion, carrots, garlic, rosemary, parsley and thyme to the insert.
- Cover and cook for four hours on high.
- Add the spinach; continue cooking for 10 minutes.
- Boil the small shell pasta according to package directions or until shells are al dente.

Consider topping the finished dish with crumbled bacon or grated parmesan.
