Notes & Wine Advice
Serving Suggestions
Serve pecan applesauce bread at room temperature or slightly warm with butter, cream cheese, or apple preserves. It pairs naturally with coffee or tea and works well alongside dishes from our breakfast recipes.
Recipe Notes
Use a small loaf pan because this recipe has been recalculated for four servings. Avoid overmixing the batter, as this can make the bread dense. Check the loaf early because small pans bake faster. Browse our bread recipes for more baking ideas.
Variations
Replace the pecans with walnuts or add raisins, dried cranberries, or diced apple. Use apple pie spice instead of the separate cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. For additional ideas, explore our Spices & Seasoning recipes.
Wine Advice
A lightly sparkling Moscato d’Asti complements the sweet applesauce and spices. A nutty Tawny Port pairs especially well with the pecan topping.
