Instructions
Layer vanilla wafers in a spacious glass bowl, ensuring the bottom is completely covered, and set aside 8 to 10 wafers for garnish.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually stir in the milk.
Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Add vanilla extract and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
Once the mixture reaches a thick consistency, fold in the drained crushed pineapple.
Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the layer of wafers in the bowl and allow it to cool.
Top the cooled pudding with the thawed whipped topping.
Garnish the Pineapple Delight Bowl with pineapple slices, the reserved wafers, and maraschino cherries.
