Simple Syrup

Ingredients

Makes about 2½ cups

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water.
  • Bring to a slow simmer, stirring, until the sugar is melted, about 3 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Store in a glass jar, covered, in the refrigerator.
  • It keeps indefinitely.
