Slow Cooker Moose Roast

1 ounce envelope dry onion soup mix
Instructions
Step 1: Searing the Roast
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown the moose roast on all sides in the hot oil.
Remove the seared roast and transfer it to a slow cooker.
Step 2: Slow Cooking
Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
Pour in the apple juice.
Cover and cook on MEDIUM for 6 to 8 hours, or until the moose meat is very tender.
Check occasionally to ensure there is sufficient liquid, and add more apple juice if necessary.
Step 3: Serving
Serve the moose roast with its juices.
