Instructions
Season the meat, then brown slowly in a heavy skillet.
Add water to a depth of ½–1 inch.
Cover and cook slowly one hour.
Spread sauerkraut over pork.
Sprinkle with brown sugar, and onion and apple if desired.
Cover and cook slowly one more hour.
