Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup molasses
  • a little nutmeg
  • 1 cup sour or buttermilk
  • raisins
  • 2 ½ cups flour

Instructions

  • Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan at 350º for 35-40 minutes or until done.
