Stewed Plums

Ingredients

  • 35 oz 1 kg Plums
  • 7 tbsp 150 g Honey
  • 4 tsp 2 cl Water
  • 4 tsp 2 cl Slivovitz
  • 5 Cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon stick

Instructions

  • Wash, halve, and pit the plums.
  • Break up the cinnamon and place in a burlap spice bag with the cloves.
  • Boil the water with honey and the spice bag.
  • Add the plums and slowly cook until they are soft.
  • Let cool, remove the spice bag, and flavor with slivovitz.
  • Store well sealed.
