Notes & Wine Advice
Recipe Notes
Use ripe, flavorful strawberries and chop them finely so they are distributed evenly throughout the muffin batter.Add the basil at the end and fold it gently through the mixture. Overmixing the batter can make the finished muffins heavier.Fresh basil works best in this recipe. Its aromatic flavor provides a fresh contrast to the sweetness of the strawberries without overpowering them.Allow the muffins to cool in their silicone liners for 5 minutes after air frying. This gives the centres time to set and makes the muffins easier to remove.
Wine Advice
For brunch, a fresh Cava pairs nicely with the strawberries and aromatic basil. Its crisp acidity and bubbles provide a refreshing contrast to the soft, buttery muffins.
