Worcestershire and Blue Cheese Volcano Burgers

Ingredients

teaspoon
of extra virgin olive oil
▢
1
shallot
minced
▢
1
teaspoon
of salt
▢
Dash of black pepper
▢
1 ¼
pounds
of lean ground beef
▢
¼
cup
of Worcestershire ketchup
▢
1
cup
of blue cheese
crumbled
▢
Hamburger buns
for serving
▢
Lettuce leaves
for topping
▢
Tomato
thinly sliced and for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
In a saucepan set over medium heat, add in the olive oil and minced shallot.
Season with a dash of salt and black pepper.
Cook for 10 minutes or until gold.
In a bowl, add in the lean ground beef.
Add in the shallots and Worcestershire ketchup.
Stir well to mix.
Divide into 4 balls.
In the center of the balls, add in ¼ of the blue cheese in the center.
Roll the meat around the cheese and flatten slightly into patties.
Transfer onto a baking sheet.
Place into the oven to bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove and transfer immediately onto the hamburger buns.
Top off with the lettuce and tomato slices.
