Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef chicken, or turkey
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 3 diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups cooked kidney beans or pinto beans
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 bunch sliced green onions
  • 1 1/2 cups grated natural sharp cheese or mild cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a frying pan, sauté the ground meat until lightly browned.
  • Pour off any drippings.
  • Add water, chili powder, and curry powder; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add diced tomatoes and beans; heat through.
  • Stir in onions.
  • Ladle the chili into serving bowls and sprinkle with grated cheese.
