Baked Egg Custard
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 quart milk
Instructions
- Beat eggs, then stir in sugar, salt, and vanilla.
- Scald milk and gradually add it to the egg mixture.
- Stir until it is thoroughly blended.
- Pour into custard cups or a baking pan.
- Set in a pan of hot water that is a height equal to the level of the custard.
- Bake at 325° for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center of the custard comes out clean.
