Ingredients

  • 1 green pepper top removed
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
  • 8- oz. can tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a saucepan of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the green pepper and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, until tender.
  • Drain, cool slightly, and chop the pepper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion, stirring often, until the beef is browned, and the onion is translucent.
  • Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped green pepper and cooked rice to the skillet.
  • Pour the tomato sauce over the beef mixture, stir, and heat through.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the Deconstructed Stuffed Pepper Skillet.
