  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons bacon chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons scallions chopped
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese grated
  • 1 cup tortilla chips crushed
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • 8 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Mix the ground pork with chopped bacon, minced garlic, scallions, salt, black pepper, Romano cheese, and crushed tortilla chips.
  • Shape the mixture into 8 evenly sized meatballs.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the meatballs in a lightly greased baking pan and pour the marinara sauce over them.
  • Lower the pan into the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the meatballs for 10 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, place one meatball on the bottom half of each Hawaiian roll.
  • Spoon some marinara sauce on top, sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese, and bake in the air fryer at 370°F (185°C) for 3 to 4 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Top with the remaining roll halves and serve immediately.
